What is
“Local Meat”?

NW Local Meats is more than just a place to buy “good” meat. You are directly benefitting the 80+ Small Farms that are apart of Island Grown Farmers Cooperative (IGFC).

First, our meat is pasture raised by Small, Independent, Local Farmers. When the Farmer has decided the animal is ready for market the Mobile Slaughter Unit of IGFC travels to the farm to perform the small-scale, humane butchering. The carcasses are hung and transported back to our facility to be aged, cut, and packed.

Meat purchased at NW Local Meats is straight from the pasture to your plate.
